The Buckeyes are at it again: 2016 four-star defensive Terrell Hall has committed to Ohio State.

The Hall File

  • Class: 2016
  • Size: 6-5/250
  • Pos: DE
  • School: St. John's College (Washington, DC)
  • Composite Rating: ★★★★
  • Composite Rank: 9 (W-DE)

A 6-foot-5, 250 pound end, Hall becomes Ohio State's seventh 2016 pledge and the first since Cincinnati Moeller tight end Jake Hausmann committed in late January. Hall last visited Ohio State Jan. 25, a Junior weekend in Columbus and reports that weekend indicated he may have committed to Ohio State that weekend. Still, Hall went home without making a public declaration and took visits elsewhere these last few weeks to try and sort out his thoughts. That last trip to Ohio State — his third trip to Columbus — remained at the fore of his recruiting thoughts and today he's a Buckeye.

"That was my third time at Ohio State," Hall said. "It's the best place I've been. It's a great place, mainly how they help their players succeed at the next level. Whether it's in football or finding a job, etc."

Hall picked the Buckeyes today over scholarship offers from Penn State, Tennessee, Michigan State, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Notre Dame and close to a dozen more. He's another speed-rushing defensive end, cut from the same cloth as fellow verbal commitment Jonathon Cooper. The Buckeyes, with only one pure defensive end in their 2015 class, could look to take as many as four at the position in 2016.
