Ben Bredeson will undoubtedly be one of the nation's top offensive line prospects for 2016 and today he received a scholarship offer from Ohio State. The Buckeyes become the fifth offer for the 6-foot-4, 255 pound sophomore, joining Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa State and Tennessee in the early pursuit of Wisconsin's top prospect for 2016.

Bredeson was offered by the Buckeyes on the tail end of his visit to Columbus on Saturday and shared a few thoughts about the visit with Eleven Warriors.

"I loved the campus there," Bredeson said of his first visit to Ohio State. "The way it was set up and buildings were all beautiful, it's a nice university. Obviously their facilities were top notch, but that's expected at a program like Ohio State."

HIGHLIGHTS

With a number of schools attempting to develop an early relationship with Bredeson, Ohio State hopes that a visit this early in the process will give them an edge.

"I spent the majority of the (visit) with (Buckeyes' offensive line coach Ed) Warinner," he said. "I also spent a little bit of time with Urban Meyer. I was able to get closer to the coaching staff and start building a relationship with them."

Growing up anywhere in the midwest during the 2000s, it's impossible to not be intrigued by what the Buckeyes have to offer, and Bredeson admitted that's the case.

"It's huge," he said of being offered by the Buckeyes. "I've always admired Ohio State and Coach Meyer and being able to meet him in person, and to receive an offer from Ohio State means a lot to me."

Early visits certainly don't guarantee an early commitment, and Bredeson is hoping to take in as much as he can right now.

"I want to see everything first so I am not missing anything," Bredeson said of these early visits. "I don't want to commit too early and rush anything. Academics and job opportunities after college (are big factors.) I also need to love the coaching staff and the people that surround me. I need to make sure I'd be comfortable for five years."
