James Franklin walked into Happy Valley followed by a train of hype. That hype didn't translate into football wins, however, as Penn State finished the 2014 season at 7-6.
Franklin, though, appears to be a hot commodity... as a talking head. Penn State's second year coach is set to host his own Ted Talk, as well as joining MIT's Sloan Sports Analytics Conference as a panelist.
While I doubt this will translate into more wins for Penn State, it's certainly a win for James Franklin and his brand. (Yes, you could say I remain skeptical of the Franklin regime.) Only time will tell, though.
